Todos nos hemos preguntado alguna vez si podemos llevarnos los jaboncitos, la libreta o la bata de algún hotel en el cual nos hemos alojado.
Generalmente lo que nos gusta es coleccionar: 20 pantuflas sin usar, o potecitos de champú, lociones para el cuerpo, la libreta o un lápiz.
Pero, cuáles de estos objetos me puedo llevar a casa como recuerdo?
Las buenas costumbres nos enseñan que no debemos tomar nada que no nos regalen, a menos que lo que pagues, pero los hoteles suelen ofrecer pequeños souvenirs para sus huéspedes que son intencionalmente hechos con el logo del lugar para que sean recordados de vuelta de sus viajes. Así que esa es la clave, cualquier cosa que tenga un logo o al menos el nombre del establecimiento te avisa que puedes llevarlo contigo.
Como excepción están las batas, estas normalmente tienen bordado el logo pero el hotel no espera que la lleves. Para eso, le ponen un cartel diciendo que si estás interesado en adquirir una, puedes pedirla nueva en recepción. Si te la llevas sin pagarla
es casi seguro que verás el cargo en tu tarjeta de crédito después de tu partida.
Así que ya sabes, siéntete libre de regresar con tus recuerditos, es si… no olvides que las líneas aéreas te esperan con los pesos de equipaje encendidos y dispuestos a ponerle precio a cada una de esos detallitos que agregaste en tu maleta.

Things you can take from a hotel room
We all have wondered if we can take the little soap, the notebook or the robe from a hotel in which we have stayed.
Generally the reason is that we like is to collect things: 20 unused slippers, or little bottles of shampoo, body lotion, or a pencil.
But which of these objects can I take home as a souvenir?
Good customs teach us that we should not take anything that they do not give us, unless you pay for what you want, but hotels usually offer small souvenirs for their guests that are intentionally made with the logo of the place so that they are remembered by you when you return back home from your trip.
So, that is the key: anything that has a logo or at least the name of the establishment seems to be telling you that you can take it along.
As an exception there are the robes; these usually have the logo embroidered, but the hotel does not expect you to take it. For that, they put up a sign saying that if you are interested in purchasing one, you can ask for a new one at reception desk. If you take it with without buying it, you will almost certainly see the charge on your credit card after your departure.
Now you know, feel free to return with your souvenirs, but do not forget that airlines will be waiting for you with the luggage weights on, and ready to put an extra charge on each of those little details that you added to your suitcase.
